WHAT WE
OFFER

At Zola we take special interest and have experience working from an attachment modality. We believe in treating each client individually and focus on supporting clients feel seen and heard.

Play therapy techniques

(Ages 6-10)

Currently, our therapist is working towards becoming certified in play therapy and implements play therapy techniques within her work with children and adolescents. This style of therapy is appropriate for young children, as play is the child’s language, and toys are the child’s words. Play therapy is different from regular play in that the therapist assists children in addressing and resolving their own problems. Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, develop self-responsibility, maintain self-acceptance, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others. It expands self-expression, self-knowledge, self-actualization, and self-efficacy. Some techniques used in play therapy include puppets, expressive arts, anger release toys, sand tray, bibliotherapy, dollhouse, and mask making.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

(ages 10-100)

For older children teens, and adults who prefer traditional talk therapy, individual therapy services are also offered. Today we are faced with many obstacles that can lead to feeling alone, confused, and overwhelmed. When faced with these challenges it may be difficult to feel motivated or happy you may also feel worried and find yourself experiencing physical symptoms such as headaches, trouble breathing and frequent stomach aches. Without appropriate methods, emotional regulation, or coping skills it might be difficult to manage. At Zola we offer support in healing and becoming your best self.
